The Great North - Season 1 overview:.

THE GREAT NORTH is created, written and executive-produced by Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux. The series follows the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad, BEEF (Nick Offerman), does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close – especially his only daughter, JUDY (Jenny Slate), whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. Rounding out the family are Judy’s older brother, WOLF, (Will Forte) and his fiancé, HONEYBEE (Dulcé Sloan), middle brother HAM (Paul Rust) and 10-year-old-going-on-50 little brother, MOON (Aparna Nancherla).

OBJECTIVES

For The Great North social campaign, we quickly set our sights on establishing it as the new Bob’s Burgers style heavy hitter within the Animation Domination lineup. To accomplish this goal, we planned to work with show writers, producers, animators, and talent to create impactful social content, partnerships, and strategies.

The Great North partnered with lead voice actor Nick Offerman’s woodshop to create custom character coasters.

RESULTS

The Molyneux sisters new comedy animated series became an instant hit scoring an advanced season 2 & 3 renewal. Our social campaign also quickly drew fan interest when we connected our star-studded cast back to their animated characters on social. We did this with character to screen, talent interviews, and voice-focused creative. We also tapped into the show’s quirkiness and Alaskan food with custom animated cocktail drinks and a sweepstakes partnership with The Salmon Sisters to win a box of fresh Alaskan salmon!

The animators of The Great North were also great partners, allowing us to showcase their amazing talents through early animatics to screen, production sketches and in-world IG Stories. As our episodes were released every Sunday, our talent came in clutch with constant social support to entice our audience to watch.
