Bond, James Bond… The most iconic spy in action cinema celebrated 60 years and for the first time ever fans can find all 25 films on Prime Video as well as a new documentary celebrating the music of Bond, The Sound of 007.

OBJECTIVES

  • Celebrate Global Bond Day on Oct. 5th while leveraging the power of Amazon to amplify the 60th Anniversary.

  • Position Bond Day and the 60th as a can’t miss event.

  • Launch the new release of The Sound of 007 documentary.

ASSESSMENT

The celebration of Bond’s 60th and The Sound of 007 came off the heels of Amazon’s recent acquisition of MGM Studios. This presented several challenges including aligning with our new MGM counterparts and EON Studios in the UK. On the social end - considering 007 already had a social account run by EON, my job was to coordinate the social strategy on the Prime Video and Amazon Studios accounts. With such an iconic franchise there were understandable several restrictions on how we could market James Bond. All efforts went into celebrating day of October 5.

RESULTS

  • The Sound of 007 received a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 82% and an Amazon customer review average of 4.6 stars out of 5.

  • In partnership with the brand team I assisted in orchestrating a rollout of 007 content on Prime Video and Amazon Studios social handles. This was the first time the brand accounts dedicated a full day release towards a documentary and catalog titles.

  • Cultural support reigned in with social posts from Billie Eilish, Sam Smith, MGM, The Royal Navy, Morph and several others.

  • Worked with authentic Bond Fan Creators to produce assets to celebrate the films with trivia, imagery and fashion.
